Visual arts intrigue me in the way that it condenses fountains of philosophical thoughts and raw emotions into a single timeless frame. I am fascinated by how the physical presence of concrete objects, whether it be two or three-dimensional, can awaken new perspectives within us. In my works, I explore communicating metaphorical representations of the human psyche through a sensory experience.
As a composer, my music and artworks constantly inspire and fuel each other. My works in those 2 different mediums share the same spontaneous, immersive, and meditative creative process, speaking the 2 different languages with the same tongue. To me, both mediums are unique lenses to view the world around us, and are gateways to finding deeper connections within ourselves. Sounds can construct images, light, shadow, and creatures in motion. Lines and clusters of colors can bite, wobble, sing, howl……
I aspire to bring these intersections to audiences, to create live music that becomes part of art installations and animations, where sounds and visuals interact to tell stories that transcend language.
